Mike questions Prime Minister in Queen's Speech debate

Yesterday Mike Gapes asked the Prime Minister whether he would have an early meeting with the Mayor of London in which he can discuss the issues of London and its security, and to apologise for his candidate’s racist campaign against Sadiq Khan.

Transcript

Mike Gapes MP (Ilford South): Will the Prime Minister have an early meeting with the Mayor of London in which he can discuss the issues of London and its security, and how we combat extremism in our capital. Will he then take the opportunity to apologise for his candidate’s racist campaign against Sadiq Khan?

David Cameron MP (The Prime Minister): Once again, let me congratulate the Mayor of London and say how much I am looking forward to meeting him to discuss this issue, because he can do a huge amount, working with the Government, with Labour colleagues, and with Liberal Democrats and others, to pursue this agenda about standing up for the liberal democratic values that we hold so dear.
