On Friday evening I had a regular three hour advice surgery and this morning I was out in Mayfield ward doing a street surgery. Fortunately today was dry, if a bit cold, in contrast to yesterday in Valentines when it was so wet that the leaflets turned to pulp and my coat and shoes took over 24 hours to dry out…
In the afternoon, I went to the nice memorial service for former Conservative Cranbrook Councillor Charles Elliman at the Coventry Road Synagogue. I got home just in time to hear the news of the Hammers Goal at Chelsea on Five Live.
I can stay in the warm tonight and watch the Hammers on TV, and celebrate the Bellamy goal and an unexpected point but how is it we can draw at Liverpool and Chelsea but lose at home to Spurs in the match I got to on Monday! Despite our point today I fear we face a difficult relegation scrap which will not I fear be easy. We must keep Robert Green and Matthew Upson and start scoring some goals.
